Travel Responsibly, Rest Comfortably
How Are We Making A Difference
Prior To And Upon Check-In
- A Greener Stay - Greener Stay is an IHG guest programme that allows guests to opt out of housekeeping services during their stay to reduce environmental impact. Participating IHG One Rewards members receive 500 bonus points per night. Rooms will still be serviced every fourth consecutive night in line with brand standards.
- Reduce Towel Laundry - Towels hung on the rack will be reused, while those placed on the floor will be replaced.
- Bulk Bathroom Amenities - We have replaced single‑use mini bottles with refillable dispensers, offering a more sustainable and eco‑friendly way to enjoy your stay.
- Digital directories - Our in‑room hotel guide is now digital. Guests can conveniently access hotel information by scanning with their mobile phones.
- Notepad upon request - Removed pens and notepads from rooms; these will only be provided upon guest request.
Food & Beverages
- Eco‑Friendly Packaging - Our F&B outlets are reducing single‑use plastics by offering paper straws, helping to minimize environmental impact.
- Food Waste Tracking - With AI‑powered food waste management, we monitor under‑consumed dishes in our restaurants. This allows us to adjust menus and reduce future waste while maintaining the quality and variety our guests enjoy.
- Waste Segregation & Disposal - Food waste and recyclable materials are properly segregated and managed in accordance with local regulations. Used cooking oil is collected by licensed contractors for responsible recycling and disposal.
- Sustainable Procurement - We prioritise sourcing locally produced, seasonal, and responsibly farmed ingredients whenever possible. This supports local suppliers while reducing the environmental impact associated with transportation.
- Minimising Single-Use Items - We are progressively reducing single-use plastics across all food and beverage operations, replacing them with environmentally friendly alternatives in line with Singapore’s waste reduction initiatives.
The Green Building
- We are Green Mark GOLDPLUS Certified.
- Energy Efficient Chiller Plant System with overall system efficiency of < 0.65 kW/RT.
- Energy-saving lifts equipped with ACVVVF drives and sleep mode features. Extensive rooftop and vertical greenery integrated into the building design.
- SGBC Certified Green Energy Equipment (including VSDs, chilled water pumps, and cooling water pumps).
- Skylight at the atrium to maximize natural lighting, complemented by abundant indoor greenery.
- Transition from traditional bulbs to LED lighting, reducing energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions. LEDs also produce less heat, which indirectly reduces cooling load. Overall, this contributes to both operational efficiency and sustainability performance.
- Water-efficient fittings installed for basins and showerheads.
- Lighting dimming controls adjust output based on occupancy, time of day, and natural daylight, preventing over‑lighting and reducing energy use in areas such as corridors, function rooms, back‑of‑house spaces, and atrium skylight zones.
Human Resource
- Proud recipient of the Progressive Wage (PW) Mark, supporting fair and progressive wages for lower- wage workers.
- Great Place To Work - Recognised as a great place to work under IHG Hotels & Resorts Singapore, fostering a supportive and inclusive workplace culture.
- Inclusive Workforce - 23 persons with disabilities (PWDs) employed through partnerships with various organizations. We also provide second‑chance employment opportunities to ex‐offenders.
Practical Ways Guest Can Participate in Sustainability
- Opt out of housekeeping to save energy and resources.
- Reuse your towels - towels hung on the rack will be reused, while those placed on the floor will be replaced.
- Request amenities only when needed to reduce waste and conserve resources.
- Keep the air‑conditioning at an optimal temperature of 24–25°C to conserve energy while staying comfortable.
- Tap water in Singapore is safe to drink. Do bring your own bottle for convenient refills instead of purchasing single‑use cups.
- Bring your own reusable bag - most supermarkets and shops charge for carrier bags, so using your own helps reduce waste and saves money.
- Walk or cycle: Explore car‑free zones and park connectors.
- Use public transport: Singapore’s MRT and buses are efficient and low‑emission.
- Avoid food waste: Order only what you can finish.
- Respect wildlife and greenery: Stick to designated paths and avoid littering.
- Supporting small businesses and artisans sustains both the environment and community livelihoods.
